A few pictures of our house

Although we have not painted yet (we will do that before the holidays after Mac's big test in November) here are a few more of the house. We will also hang pictures probably next week so forgive the bare look of the house. We are getting there but we have so much going on it is taking forever.

Parker's room- his dresser is part of his bed
(we put all the stuffed animals in his room due to so much space)

Mackenzee and Eliza's room (notice the blinds Mac's dad helped hang last weekend. My cousin, Jake, also came and wired all the rooms for lights. YEAH)

Formal Living/Dining room
We finally got new couches and a chair (not pictured)!!!

You cant see the dining room it is behind the love seat but is an empty room right now (we will probably move the piano into that area). This was another room that had no light or blinds, thank goodness for family. Those who know me know how much I will miss the other couch. :) Actually, we still have it and will until we can save $$$ for another set of couches for the family room.

Some Stampin' Up! Decor Elements I put up for decorations. (this is to the left of the sofa)

Life of Parker

Last Friday we had him evaluated for speech. They said we should go ahead and have him tested, but we cant do that until Nov 4 at the earliest. Parker has improved so much in the last few months but there are still some things he needs help with. He did surprisingly well at the evaluation. He love the books the Speech Pathologist was reading and even interacted with her doing what she asked. For those who know Parker this is HUGE. Normally he clings to me and wont have anything to do with anyone else. The rest of the day we just had a mommy and Parker time. We went shopping for his costume and some Halloween decorations. It was so much fun. When we got home Mackenzee went up to him and said "Parker you are talking so much better already. Good job buddy!!!" Mac and I started cracking up. It is so nice when they show they care about each other.

Earlier in the week, when they were playing outside Parker dropped a giant flower pot (take your arms and make a big circle with them that is how big the ceramic pot is) on his foot, toe to be exact. Poor kid it took off the tip of his toe and blood was everywhere. I dont do blood so Mac came home to check it out (it was only 1/2 hour before he was supposed to get off anyway.) We finally got a band-aid on it and let him take it easy. Mackenzee got him a pillow and his stuffed dog.

This last picture is of Parker eating his 3rd doughnut from my bday breakfast yesterday. It is tradition to have doughnuts and Parker quite enjoyed it.

Halloween cookies & decorations

We make some sugar cookies on Sunday and gave some to our friends down the street. The kids had so much fun making and decorating them. It is that time of year when the treats come out in full force. I have baked so much in the last few weeks it is crazy.

Here is our house with a few of the decorations Parker and I got the other day. They are not the best because of the sun but at least you can kind of see what our house looks like from the outside. We got a door hanger, a sign in front of the door and a witch that flew into the ground by the garage. Click on the pictures to enlarge them.

Mackenzee Jog-A-Thon

Last Friday Mackenzee participated in the schools Jog-a-Thon. They ran/walked/jogged for about 30-45 min. All the kindergartners did it on a track 1/16th of a mile. I am not sure how many laps she did. When we got there to cheer her on she was walking with one boy. A few laps later she was with another boy. She did run a few laps, again not sure how many, but mostly was chatting it up with the boys. Oh what trouble we are in :)

She has hair!!!

Eliza finally has enough hair to put in pigtails (barely)!!!

Gator Gus

Yesterday Mackenzee was picked to take home Gator Gus, their mascot. Every day a student in their class is chosen. Her friend had it over the last weekend and Mackenzee went to her house to play with her and Gus. When she came out of class she was so excited. It is so fun to see how the little things get them excited and I love her school for creating those little things. We were to keep a journal of everything we did with Gus and send it back this morning. It was fun to see all of the adventures Gus was on. We were going to take him to the Library but Eliza woke up too late from her nap. Here are some of the fun things Mackenzee and Gus did:
Several people have asked to see a picture of our house. We will be painting soon and are getting fans put in in a few weeks so they will come after that. Right now it is ALL white (even the banister) so I promise it is coming.
